COVID-19 Notice

Please note: All returned items will be quarantined and remain on your account for up to 1 week before being checked in. We backdate all checkins for a full week, so there will be no fines from quarantined items.

Loans & Renewals

Please note: Loan times may be different for materials put on hold and borrowed from other libraries.

Materials can be loaned for the following lengths of time:

  • Books, audiobooks, magazines: 3 weeks, 2 renewals
  • CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays: 1 week, 2 renewals
  • Video games: 1 week, 2 renewals

There are no limits on the number of items you can borrow at one time, but please remember that you are responsible for all overdue fines.

Renewals add the same amount of time as the original loan, starting from when the renewal took place. For example, renewing a video game after 3 days will result in 10 days total with the item.

How to renew an item:

An item can only be renewed if it has not been requested elsewhere. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to renew an item.

Fines & Fees

Overdue Fines

Please note: Overdue fines may be different for materials put on hold and borrowed from other libraries.

  • Children's materials: 25¢ per item per day
  • Adult materials: 25¢ per item per day
  • Audiovisual materials: 25¢ per item per day

Incurring $10.00 or more in fines on your library card will block your library account from being used. To keep your library card active, you may pay down a portion of your fine to under $10.00, but you will need to pay the rest of the balance before you renew your membership for another year.

Overdue fines must be paid in person at the library during normal operating hours. The library accepts cash, debit, Visa, or Mastercard.

Damaged Item Charges

If an item is severely damaged while on your library account, you will be charged for the replacement cost of the item. Library staff will check for damage before checking out an item to you, but please check yourself, before taking the item home. Inform library staff if you notice anything.

Library staff cannot accept replacements, even if identical, without first having the replacement approved. Please inform library staff if you have damaged an item and we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.
