CAP
What does CAP stand for?
CAP stands for Community Access Program
What is CAP?
CAP was created to provide Canadians with affordable public access to the internet
and is in place to help establish and operate public Internet access sites, known as CAP sites.
What are the objectives of CAP?
* Providing Canada's rural and remote communities with better and affordable access to the internet
as well as raising public awareness about its potential for creating jobs and growth.
* Providing Canadian communities with the ability to communicate, conduct business,
enhance job skills, access and exchange information and ideas.
* Providing Internet training for individual residents, local entrepreneurs, employees, and students,
along with any others interested in improving their information managment and networking skills.
* Stimulating the electronic delivery of services,
and obtaining feedback from citizens about how they would like these presented.
