SPANISH IN A FLASH

Learn the basics of communication (basic greetings, numbers, alphabet, basic life skill vocabulary) as well as basic questions and vocabulary for travel & accommodations.  Space is limited so register early!

UNDERSTANDING ADDICTIONS    PART 1 & PART 2  Cancelled due to low registration

PART 1  -  This part of the program will increase the participant's knowledge of the role addictions play in a person's life.  You will explore the stages of intervention:  pre, during and after usage.

PART 2  -  (pre-requisite Part 1)  will address the hazards, risk indicators, and impact on others.  You will also learn about the Model of Change (counseling strategies, relapse & maintenance, and gambling).

COMPUTER BASICS

Participants will learn basic skills in computer parts identification, using the computer (ground zero to shut down), understanding usage of the "help", navigating between menu bars, making and stylizing text documents, filling operations (open, save, delete, recycle bin, retrieving documents).  All participants will re-create simple documents and have an opportunity to create their own works.
